Utility Consulting
JRC serves both private utility companies and public special districts, helping to reduce the risk to vital public infrastructure presented by adjacent trees and brush. In addition to inspecting utility facilities, assessing risk, and delineating on-site environmental protection measures for vegetation removal projects, we also provide permit writing services, professional advice, and crew supervision to ensure that contractor work meets clients’ specifications and is compliant with environmental regulations. Our licensed foresters and certified arborists are experienced in meeting standards set by California’s Public Resource Code, Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations, and FERC licensing requirements.
Hazard Tree Inspection
Our vegetation management inspectors and foresters can impartially assess the risk presented by trees and other vegetation which may be dead, dying, diseased, otherwise mechanically infirm, or simply a fire hazard, and prescribe appropriate action according to our clients’ risk tolerance. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, sound judgement, professionalism not only with our clients, but also with our clients’ customers.
JRC staff possess intimate familiarity with plant physiology and the local ecology in most regions of California from the coast to the eastern Sierra Nevada range, bringing invaluable insight to hazard mitigation scenarios.
In addition to individual tree inspection and mitigation, JRC also provides services for other hazard mitigation projects such as shaded fuelbreaks and defensible space clearing.
Facilities in all lines of business
Be it high voltage transmission lines descending into canyon powerhouses, residential distribution lines in crowded urban environments, switchyards, hydroelectric canals, publicly maintained roads in wildfire burn scars, or even underground natural gas lines, we can help manage trees and other vegetation.
