Forestry
Jefferson Resource Company offers a full suite of forestry services, including funding applications, permit preparation, logging system design and analysis, timber cruising and appraisal, road design, biological surveys, carbon sequestration analysis, archaeological surveys, GPS data collection and GIS mapping. We manage projects from start to finish including permitting, timber sale preparation, agency consultation, contractor solicitation, forest product marketing, and timber sale administration.
We also manage all aspects of forest regeneration including seed collection, planting, herbicide application, brush removal and pre-commercial thinning. JRC has a Pest Control Advisor (PCA) on staff to recommend herbicide treatments. -
Botany and Wildlife Biology
JRC also provides a wide range of biological services to both private and public landowners and specializes in botanical and wildlife surveys with an emphasis on special-status species. Our primary goal is to ensure regulatory compliance for all projects by providing scientific expertise and effectively working with regulatory agencies. JRC’s biology staff conduct surveys, habitat assessments, mitigation plans, and consultations on threatened, endangered and special-status plant and animal species. Since 1992, JRC has conducted numerous wildlife and botanical surveys throughout northern California and southern Oregon.

Geographic Information Systems
Our GIS department offers geospatial solutions for a variety of project needs. JRC GIS technicians utilize industry-standard GIS and GPS software to offer high-resolution GPS data collection, maps supporting environmental plans, geo-referenced digital maps for field navigation, and geospatial analyses. Our GIS department can also deliver well-organized electronic files upon client request.
