Jefferson Resource Company, Inc. is a full-service environmental consulting firm with California offices in Siskiyou, Mendocino, El Dorado, and Shasta Counties. The Company was founded by Ron Berryman in 1992 under the name Berryman & Associates and purchased by Danielle and Dustin Lindler in 2002. In 2006, the Company was incorporated and the name was changed.
JRC is a certified woman-owned business under the Supplier Clearinghouse for the Utility Supplier Diversity Program of the California Public Utilities Commission and certified as a Small Micro Business under the California Department of General Services, Office of Small Business.
JRC provides a wide array of services for a diverse group of clients who range from state and federal agencies to large industrial timber companies to large ranch ownerships to small family parcels. The Company has been responsible for tree marking on well over 125,000 acres. JRC has also designed, provided oversight of and participated in well over 100 inventory projects. We have implemented timber marking on all silvicultural systems common to the west coast and have managed and implemented inventory projects ranging from appraisals to carbon audits to stand examinations for federal projects. Our professional staff has completed over 150 approved timber harvest plans and nonindustrial timber management plans. Preparation of these projects includes road design and layout, sale layout, logging system analysis and designation, silvicultural determination, tree marking and cruising and cumulative impact assessment, biological surveys (including Northern Spotted Owl & Pacific fisher surveys), botany surveys, archaeology surveys, and mapping services utilizing GPS and GIS technologies. We have performed services for most major industrial timberland owners in the state. We currently provide long term forestry management services on over 25,000 acres of nonindustrial land in Northern California.
Our professional resource staff is comprised of eight California Registered Professional Foresters (RPFs), a botanist, two wildlife biologists, a licensed spotted owl expert, approximately fifteen foresters with a minimum of a B.S in forestry, two pest control advisors, two Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialists, five licensed Arborists, and licensed Qualified Applicators. JRC is one of the few private consulting firms in CA that specializes in all phases of reforestation. In addition, we field a seasonal crew generally comprised of five to ten forestry technicians depending upon the workload.
